Wedding for wine lovers

Bernadette and Fabien love and live for wines. Their passion (and business) was beautifully reflected in their wedding decor. There was no doubt: this couple is into amazing wines, delicious food and crazy for DIY.

They collected the wooden wine boxes for their centerpieces and corks for their place card holders for several months and build them themselves. Bernadette drew the family crest on the re-purposed window seating board.

The cake by the Inn was organic chocolate... and, if gifts are wrapped in cute boxes, which can be used afterwards, why not? Otherwise the less wrapping, the better. Online options, which invite guests to pitch in for bigger items like the pool for the new house or the luscious honeymoon have become welcome options for modern couples.

Baby Showers at the Inn

We love happy, quirky showers.

Hayley at Local Love posted this sweet review of her sister's baby sprinkle.
"I know, I know. Topanga Canyon??? No thanks. Well, hear me out. Inn of the Seventh Ray is one of the most quintessential restaurants I’ve been to in the area. It is the perfect venue for a special event, such as a Bridal or Baby Shower, and an idyllic spot for a romantic date. I’d say it’s definitely worth the trek."

The Inn has added new delicious drink options to their existing fresh pressed organic juices and lemonade: a contemporary cool mimosa bar and a yummy Sangria.

Hayley: "My first visit to the Inn was for my sister-in-law’s Baby Sprinkle (it was her second baby, hence the sprinkle), and was I in heaven. It is just the cutest place. I loved everything about the setting. I was a bit skeptical on the drive there as we were winding through the canyon and passing by rundown places — but as soon as we pulled up, I  was immediately relieved and relaxed. The setting is picturesque, with twinkle lights and a whimsical woodland decor.
We sat outside near the creek, which was just beautiful. It was a warm day, but because the Inn is located in the canyon, there’s so much shade from the lush trees, which makes for a very comfortable setting. For our Baby Sprinkle, we had a pre-set menu for the Saturday Brunch, along with mimosas and coffee, of course. I ordered the Shrimp Omelette and shared with my sister who ordered the Belgian Waffles — both delicious.
I would recommend the Inn of the Seventh Ray to anyone who has not yet been. Not only do they have delicious, healthy food, but it is quite the enchanting experience. Heads up — they book up fast on holidays, so make sure you call ahead (we thought about going for Valentine’s Day, but it was all reserved!)
Things we love: They use seasonal organic and locally sourced food from local farms, as well as healthy oils for preparation such as (olive, nut, palm and coconut). Overall, it’s a healthy menu with a lot of vegetarian and vegan options as well! {P.S., there’s a farmer’s market on Fridays in their lower parking lot too, which is where many of their ingredients come from!}
Thanks, Hayley. It was a pleasure having you all being our guests.

Fairy family wedding

How much more gorgeous can it get?
Trena and Ryan celebrated their life together and their four kids on May 10 - and it was not the 360 bottles of beer that made everybody so happy: the air was literally filled with giggles and their 130 guests had a dreamlike experience.
More pictures at Wisteria photography, great job.

Kari and Brett celebrated their wedding on Valentine's weekend.

Bill&Neil came all the way from Australia in January...

Mani had a lot of fun having both, ceremony and reception on the creekside on a Saturday day in October.

The Gazebo lends itself to many different styles from rustc contemporary to romantic princess.
